Our Story

Jarrad Motors and Dowfarm Machinery is an independent business owned by Justin and Laura Jarrad, who grew up in Casterton.
Justin trained locally to become a mechanic, then went on to work at City Holden Adelaide, where he achieved the level of gold-certified Holden mechanic. Laura worked as a nurse in the Rose Ward for infants at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
They returned to their hometown to raise their 4 young children: Mila, Evie, Harry and Archer. In 2019 they launched Jarrad Motors to meet the growing demand for mechanical services in the Casterton community.
Many farmers recognise the Dowfarm Machinery name, which has over fifty years' history providing quality farm equipment to Casterton and surrounding areas. Dowfarm seemed the perfect fit to incorporate into Jarrad Motors to diversify their offering for a small community, creating a one-stop shop that allows customers to drop their truck, ute, car, tractor, chainsaw or any gardening equipment off for a service all under the one roof with familiar faces.
